Concerning eye explosions.

Many people requested details concerning me mentioning exploding eyelids in my last post. When I went home for my Grandpa's funeral, my eyelid started to swell. I thought that it was just an allergic reaction to something but it persisted for my brief stay in WA. When I got back to St. Louis and it didn't go away, I went to the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" ...Maybe not, but she also said that it was either some eye infection or a clogged oil gland called a Meibomian Cyst. We hoped that it was an infection because that could be treated with antibiotics whereas the cyst would have to be surgically removed.

eyes and mine was actually bigger than this.)

So I tried the antibiotics but they did not help and it got worse. So it's a cyst. Great. Mom suggests that Todd give me a blessing and so he did and in it he said that it would resolve itself and I wouldn't have to go to the doctor again. I was diggin' that. We both noticed after the blessing that there was a tiny white spot in the middle of the (pinky tip size) red lump. So we were thinking that maybe it was acting similar to a big fatty zit. (The biggest fattest zit you have ever seen!!) The next day I had dead peeling skin all over it so i was kinda helping it peel and all of a sudden it opened up and a bunch of pus exploded out of my eyelid all over the mirror!!! Awesome!!!! It was pretty nasty but extremely satisfying. So two days later it started peeling again and a whole new wave of pus grossness came out! So it's been doing that for about 2 weeks now and it's been getting longer and longer between explosions. The size of the lump is drastically decreased and now the redness is only immediately around the scabbed portion. Pretty sweet deal.

Moral of the story: exploding eyes are cool and the priesthood is real.
