The Jumpsuits!!

March 7, 2011
That is really cool that Julie and Steve and Emily were able to listen to David A. Bednar.  Did I ever tell you that when I got here to the mission, that I missed him coming to talk to the missionaries by 2 days?!  My first zone leaders got a cool picture with him.  They had lunch with him that day.  I'm jealous about that too.  No apostles have come to our mission since then, just seventies.  I bet the missionaries in the stake were way excited to be there.

Well this weekend we were able to baptize Anthony.  It was a really good baptism.  It was pretty hectic and last minute putting it together.  We had the interview last minute, we had to change location to another building, we got there and there weren't any jumpsuits and I had forgotten the programs so we were stranded without our bikes (we had been dropped off) and an hour before the baptism was supposed to start we got rescued by some other missionaries who took us home to get the programs and over to the other building to get some jumpsuits.  We pulled it all off though and everything else went well... except the water heater stinks and the water was really cold.  Elder Nunnally was able to baptize him.  It was Elder Nunnally's first time baptizing anybody.  No redo's like I had to do my first time.  :)  My baptism was a little bit harder though.  :)

We have a 15 year-old girl named Anna that is waiting to be baptized.  She has to get permission from her Mom though, so that might be a little hard.  She is so excited about the Gospel.  She is always so excited to have us come over and teach.  We were able to fast with her on Sunday that she would be able to get permission.  We should find out either today or tomorrow if she was able to get permission to be baptized.  She is the same one that introduced us to the friend that was atheist.  I really hope and pray that she can be baptized.  She has already decided that she is going to go on a mission when she turns 21.  =D

Well, that is about it for me.  I love you all.  I hope that everybody has a good week!
