This week was not too exciting. First week of training and it is a little tougher than I thought it would be! Not tough because he is not a good companion, just tough because all our appointments cancelled. He is also learning the area really fast!! He knows how to get places and he is learning all our investigators really well too. He is a little prideful though so I will have a little trouble with that. That is one thing that really bugs me- prideful people. I don't care if people are full of themselves or self-centered, but when they lift themselves up in pride, that is when I get irritated. But I don't think it is a big problem and missions have a big humbling effect, whether you are being obedient or disobedient because the Lord can only work with humble servants, so he compels you to humility. I learned that lesson big time the first year of my mission to the point that I don't think I could ever look at other people and judge without love and understanding and recognizing my own weakness. All of our appts cancelled this week, so not much happened teaching wise. Anna will hopefully be baptized soon. I don't know when but we will want to do it as soon as possible. there are lots of things that I need to wrap up before I leave. It is pretty overwhelming. But I have a deadline, and I am a good procrastinator, so I think things will work out. :) Just kidding. Procrastination doesn't work too well when you are doing missionary work so I am really worried. I know that it will go on without me but I'm afraid that I'm going to miss reaping the rewards of some of the work that I'm doing right now, which is scary. But I can't speed up a harvest despite an early winter.Well that is about all I have right now. I love you all. I am enjoying my mission. I feel the fulfillment of the promise that President Fields gave me in my setting apart coming to pass- that my heart will ache when it is time for me to leave this place. I love my mission and I love these people.-Elder BlakemorePS I am really excited for General Conference! I agree that they are the best on your mission. You get so much out of them! I have had an interesting experience on my mission in that I have learned so many lessons about marriage and parenting just through the spirit that I might have had to learn the hard way if I had not been on my mission. Does anybody else think that is weird?
