Hello everybody. Only a few updates from the big LV. I got the packages from Mom and Dad. Thank you for the watch btw! It has been so long that sometimes I find myself wondering what time it is and being annoyed that I don't know the time and then like 30 seconds later I think, oh!! I have a watch that I can look at! And so I look at it and I am much happier since I know what time it is. I don't know how people can live a semi-unstressed life without a watch. Elder Taylor was not good at telling me when it was time to go and so we were late to appts. a lot, which is annoying to me and it's rude to them. I liked your other package too. I got it right before my first district meeting (the zone leaders picked it up from the office before DM) and so I was able to pass around a bunch of candy to my District.
So Juliet's husband is not going to be able to come home in May like we originally planned. He comes home in August. :( Both of them want him to be there when she is baptized, so we are just keeping her warm for when her husband comes home. Maybe it is for the best and he will be able to be taught and then they can be baptized together. I hesitate to trust other missionaries to my long-term investigators. That was the problem we have run into several times with people that we meet. They were dropped because of bad missionaries or they got offended by missionaries, etc. I don't know if other missions have that problem or if we are unique. We were able to give Juliet a blessing though. I love being able to give people blessings. It is always a special experience to be able to actually say the blessing also, which I was able to do.
We only had one investigator at church on Sunday. Jeff is the caretaker for a man, Bro. Call, in our ward with Parkinson's. He is really awesome and he has seen the blessings of being involved in the Gospel. Bro. Call is an amazing man and Jeff has been really touched by the spirit that he always has around him.
So after church, we got a call from a member in the ward. They were on their way home from church and one of their neighbors came up to them and asked if they were mormon. They said yes. The neighbor then asked if they knew of missionaries in the area. We talked to them last night and we are going over there to teach on Tuesday! YES! They are a young couple who just moved into the area and they are having their first baby in a month or 2. So I was wondering, are we allowed to baptize a pregnant woman? Would that be considered infant baptism? Haha. I don't know.
Well that is about it for me. I love you all and I look forward to p-day next week!
