Now the news that everybody has been waiting for (at least I have) : Where I will be traveling to. I am getting transferred to the same area I am in right now. Weird. I survived another transfer but my companion that I really like is getting transferred and I'm getting someone named Elder Wiscombe. Anybody with a name like that deserves to be companions with somebody else. My trainer, Elder Beatty, left Dayton to come down and half train this kid, so maybe he won't be too bad. But I was confident in leaving all of our investigators in the hands of Elder Taylor. Now I have to train Elder Wiscombe in the area and hopefully he will be able to take over in 6 weeks when I will be transferred. Another concern... I heard that he is kinda fruity. So that is a little scary. I hope this transfer goes by quick and easy. I thought that I would be going somewhere else. Some good news though: I'm not District Leader anymore! I guess my meetings were just too boring for people to handle.
Some other news. Julia is being baptized on the 24th and I will be there for it! Hopefully Elder Taylor will be able to come for the baptism. He is really sad to be transferred. I guess that I am slow and I haven't learned the lesson that I need to learn in this area. I have no idea why I am staying. Oh well. Whatever the man upstairs wants, I will do it.
Colby and Brittany are having their baby on Wednesday. I'm excited to see the little guy in a few weeks. His name will be Gunner (I've never heard the name but I guess it's kinda popular) Egge (Eggy). A funny conversation last night when Elder Taylor was saying goodbye to them.
Brittany: Yeah so I'm going to be induced on Wednesday.
Taylor: Why? Is something wrong?
Brittany: No. The Dr. just wants to put me out of my misery. Haha. (She is SOOOOO big right now)
Me: So are you going to have to have a C-section? Because you are pretty skinny. (Meaning her hips)
Brittany: No the baby is positioned just fine...
Colby cuts her off: Haha. Wow, I need to take some lessons from you on how to make my wife feel good about herself.
Me: haha. *smile*
Colby: That was pretty impressive how you did that.
I thought it was kinda funny because I didn't even think about trying to make her feel good about herself. It was an honest question because she is normally (from pictures) pretty skinny. Of course she is self-conscious about her size. I'm glad she won't need a c-section (or however you spell it) though.
Jack wants to be baptized. But we have a problem. He has a roommate... who is a she. Jack's buddy and his wife own the house and Jack is staying there while he recovers from his back surgery. The friend is deployed right now so it is just his wife and Jack in the house. So we have to find a place for Jack to possibly live if he wants to be baptized. It is going to be really tough. We haven't brought it up to him yet. Maybe if he goes to Single's Ward, he will be able to find a wife and then move in with her...
We found a family off of street contacting. They are really cool. She might be living with an ex-husband.
It seems like we keep on finding solid investigators that have super big obstacles to overcome before baptism. I wonder how Dan Jones got people to move from England to the U.S. to follow some so-called prophet. I'll have to pray on it. :
Well, I guess next week I'll be able to update you on my new companion and if I have to worry about him scaring our investigators away. So until next time.

We went to the temple today. So this week was the week that we had to wait forever for P-day. I love going to the temple and the Las Vegas temple has the most amazing celestial room I have seen in my short span of temple going life. Maybe there are better ones out there, but it would be hard to beat. Especially if you go at the right time in the morning when the sun is shining through the ceiling-high beveled glass windows.
Julia's baptism was last Saturday. Her parents and her sister were there too and her parents came to church the next day for the confirmation too. I think they were happy for her. Blake's uncle performed the baptism and the confirmation. It was a very happy experience for everybody. Now time for some crazy news... Juliet is going to be baptized on Thursday! She wanted to be baptized but her husband wanted to be here and so she wanted to wait until he came home from Iraq (or afghanistan?) like in August or something. But her husband got 4 days leave and is flying home on Tuesday, is spending Wednesday and Thursday home and then goes back Friday morning! So she called us up and asked if she could be baptized this week! We said, "of course!" and then scrambled to put together a program. Tomorrow at 4 is when everything is going down. The bishop wants her to be confirmed tomorrow too so that her husband will be there for both parts of the ordinance and so she doesn't have to go for 4 days w/o the HG. Happy year mark present to me! Haha! Awesome.
Elder Wiscombe is awesome. He is really funny and he is excited to be in an area that actually has work going. He is a little bit femmy, but not bad. It mostly comes out when he is trying to be dramatic. He has 4 older sisters... the kind that live off of a lot of drama. Bleck. I'm glad my older sisters hate drama.
Yesterday we had to get all of our tires changed on our car becuase they were all bald. The front right tire didn't have any tread left. It was completely smooth. So we went to Discount Tire Co. and the guy came out and looked at our car. So our car had 4 different brands of tires. 3 WHEELS were 16 inches and 1 WHEEL was 15 inches so we also had to get a new rim from the dealership. Dang, our car was ghetto! But now we have 4 new tires, it runs a TON smoother and I can have peace of mind that I won't have a blowout if I turn a corner too fast. Now we just need an oil change, a car wash and our seats vacuumed and cleaned and I think that the V6 plus the nice clean look plus brand new tires will make our car one of the best in the mission. Oh and a couple weeks ago, we turned in the car and the body shop got all the dents out plus fixed our cracked bumper. Sweet. Missionaries beat these cars to a pulp. it is ridiculous.
Well I'm gonna end now. I am excited to hear of everybody's fun activities. Especially excited for the fun Disney trip coming up. You should have gone to Disney Land and then driven back through Vegas to visit. :) That would be way fun. Oh and next temple trip someone needs to call what's their faces to meet me at the temple. Dad's friends. I can't remember their names right now. Victor Austin and... Adelle? Anyway, I hope everybody is having fun. I love you all!-Elder BlakemorePS- their last name IS Egge. Haha

This week was good and bad at the same time. Juliette's baptism went super well. Her husband was there and we confirmed her right after the baptism. Her husband was really nice and was really supportive of her. I think that he will be baptized once he gets home and the missionaries are able to teach him. I really like them.
We got some really bad news last night though. Earlier this week Jack missed his appt. with the Bishop because he fell down the stairs in his house and he had to go to the hospital. When he got out of the hospital, he called us and wondered what he should do. I gave him the bishop's phone number to call which he did. Last night, he called us again and told us that he was really upset because the Bishop had not called him back after he had left a message. He said that it was rude and inconsiderate of him to ignore people like that. I apologized and asked him if there was anything that we could do to help him and he said no. I asked if there was a time that we could come over and he said I don't know, I'll call you. We all know what that means. I called the Bishop last night but he was at a youth fireside and I left a message and he hasn't called back. Figures. "I'm not happy, Bob. Not. Happy." He knows what we have taught is true. Hopefully he will realize that people make mistakes... even Bishops. Hopefully Bishop will realize that he's made a mistake. Poo.
Well, I'm on a short session comp. this time so I will cut this email short. I'm excited to call home on Sunday. It feels like I just barely called home for Christmas. I'll probably call in the morning to tell you what the schedule is for the day. Or that might be the time that I will be able to call that day. Who knows. But I will call in the morning. I don't think we have any meetings that day so that might be the time. Anyway, it was fun to hear about all the adventures. I need an adventure. I love you all.-Elder Blakemore
